Gayatri Mantra: Video and Translation

Question: Hi Yogi Marlon, I just bought one of your DVDs and at the end you chant the gyathri mantra. Could you please email me a script of the mantra. Thanks

Name: Niva
city: Brisbane
country: Australia

Hi Niva,
I put the translation as well as the video for all to see up on my website here: http://askyogimarlon.com/gayatrimantra.html.
I hope you derive as much as I have from chanting this mantra.

BTW, I did not know my DVDs were being sold as far as Australia. That's very exciting for me. Can you please tell me at what store or website you purchased it?

Namaste Yogi Marlon!
I recently purchased one of your DVD's from ebay Australia and was delighted with it. I was even more delighted when I stumbled across the rest of your collection through a DVD chain store - EzyDVD. I promptly purchased one for my sister who thinks your "Feeling stronger everyday" is wonderful (as do I), and I also love "Everyday Practice", especially the kirtan with Krishna Das :)
Both my sister and I love the simpleness of your practice and instructions and the 'low key' feel to it.
Thanks so much for producing these DVDs!
On another note, have you any plans for a routine aimed at children?
Kind regards
Alicia

HI Alicia,

So glad to know my DVDs are reaching Australia and that you find the yoga practices and mantra in particular fulfilling.

I do, in fact, have a plan to do a children's DVD. My production company, Shiva Entertainment, and an award winning DVD production house in England, Richmodn Studios, have been in discussion on it for about a year. I very much want to return to a small village I visited about 4 years ago in Myanmar. This village has 100's of pennyless, yet extraordinarily joyful children, who inspired me a great deal. Doing anything in Myanmar is a great challange because of the government, but my interests are purely spiritual and charitable do perhaps we could gain permission to shoot a DVD or TV special there. If I am able to find sponsors who will fund the project, I'd like to shoot a children's yoga DVD there, and donate a percentage of the profits solely to the health and education of the children of the region. Feel free to pass this on to anyone who might have an interest in supporting the venture. Sometimes these things take a very long time to get off the ground and into production, but I just keep holding the vision of these amazing kids and hoping.

Thanks for your interest in my yoga DVDs.
I wish you all the best in your practice.

Oh-- and by the way-- I'm planning to do some traveling and teaching of intermediate level workshops this spring. Can you recommend any reputable yoga studios in urban areas of Australia? I'd love to know. Many thanks for writing

Om Shanti,

Yogi Marlon
